Biography

I was born in Mosul, Iraq, and earned a BA degree with Distinction in English Language and Literature from Salahaddin University-Erbil (SUE). I later completed an MA in Literary Linguistics with Merit at the University of Nottingham, UK. 

Previously, I taught modules such as Phonology, Novel, English Vocabulary, Comprehension, and Grammar at the College of Languages, SUE. Currently, I am an Assistant Lecturer at the College of Basic Education, SUE. 

Additionally, I am an education consultant at Collins College of English, the leading language center in Erbil, Kurdistan, and an experienced IELTS trainer who has helped many students achieve their target band scores. 

I am also a certified sworn legal translator and have translated a book titled The Rwandan Genocide in 1994. I take a keen interest in literary translation and have recently translated Talaat Tahir's collection of poems, which is under publication. Presently, I am pursuing a PhD in Cognitive Stylistics.
